Test and validation of embedded systems

The more advanced embedded software systems are becoming, the larger the number of things that can go wrong. Therefore, almost fifty percent of the time it takes to develop the systems is spent on testing programmes. In terms of reducing costs and avoiding wasting time and resources on developing products that do not work, manufacturers will be able to benefit hugely from being able to test the systems as early as possible in the development process.

At CISS, we work on model-based testing and validation, enabling a manufacturer to start calculating where potential faults may occur, as early as in the planning and development phase or when a design model has been constructed – and thus remedy the faults before the production of the actual product has been initiated or further development on the model has been carried out.
