“Humanity’s nervous system”

“Over the course of 40 years, we have gone from a completely analog reality to being deeply dependent on IT in more or less all aspects of our private and professional lives. IT is well on the way to constituting humanity’s nervious system, and our dependence will only increase as the systems become smarter and more complicated”.

So writes PI of IDEA4CPS, Kim Guldstrand Larsen, in a feature in the Danish newspaper JyllandsPosten where he writes about the impact that the increasing number of embedded systems will have on our society.
